Final version of the NHS Health Check Standard now published
Over 1.2 million NHS Health Checks are performed annually for early detection and management of key risk factors that contribute to premature mortality. However, variations in clinical templates have led to the use of inaccurate codes, negatively impacting the recording of people’s cardiovascular disease risk.
Working with the Department of Health and Social Care, we've developed the NHS Health Check Standard to enable accurate data recording when performing NHS Health Checks, resulting in better informed clinical actions and high-quality monitoring and evaluation of the service.
The standard is endorsed by Blood Pressure UK, Royal College of Nursing, Royal Society for Public Health and Royal Pharmaceutical Society.
