Get involved: Book your place on our nursing focus group
The Professional Records Standards Body (PRSB) has been commissioned by NHSX to undertake a national project towards developing a national nursing records standard. The aim of the standard is to improve and standardise nursing records by improving the structure and content, so enabling care providers to share better information between and within organisations and enable citizens easier navigation of their records.
A discovery phase of work took place earlier this year with national leaders, frontline nurses, and people consulted, and the findings endorsed the need for a national nursing records standard to support the sharing of information between patients, carers, and professionals. During the discovery phase, we identified aspects of best practice and outlined how a nursing standard could dovetail with existing standards for nursing records.
We would now like to engage with a wider group of people who have used health and care services, to determine what further information a national nursing record standard should include. The virtual focus group is taking place on 7th October 10-11.30. Remuneration is available for attendees at a rate of £25 per hour and there are limited spaces left.
