PRSB’s Social Prescribing Standard is awarded mandatory status
Information sharing between care professionals is key to delivering social prescribing as a vital part of person-centred care. PRSB’s Social Prescribing Standard has been mandated for use by link workers to whom GPs and community services refer people for help to improve their social, emotional and physical wellbeing, alongside their medical health.
PRSB’s Social Prescribing Standard has received an Information Standards Notice, which makes its use a requirement in specific care settings. This will help ensure the right information is captured, recorded and shared to support better care and outcomes for people using social prescribing services.
Care providers digitising their care records should look to PRSB’s new provider service to help them meet emerging standards requirements. Our new service is specifically designed to support them on their journey towards adoption and evidence-based conformance with standards. The importance of that was highlighted in our blogs from Lee Rickles of Yorkshire & Humber Care Record and Katie Thorn of Digital Social Care.
