PRSB standards are a hot topic at the Shared Care Record Summit in Birmingham
The Shared Care Record Summit, which took place on 16 - 17 April in Birmingham, was a fantastic event with a diverse range of speakers. Our Person Lead, Sam Goncalves, opened the event with a keynote speech highlighting the importance and real life value of the About Me Standard for her son Shane. Lorraine Foley, our CEO, presented on the importance of “sticking at it” to ensure that standards continue to drive improvements to health and care data and interoperability.
PRSB were part of the vibrant and energised Shared Care Record network over the two days, sharing knowledge and learning from ICS and supplier delegates around the current successes, challenges and future of Shared Care Records. It was brilliant to hear that 'About Me', the Core Information Standard and the Personalised Care and Support Plan Standard are being increasingly referred to and adopted.
The slides and live stream from the event are now available.
The Primary Care Show on 15 - 16 May in Birmingham is the next event where you can hear from us. We are looking forward to presenting our work on the Nursing Care Needs Standard, our project on data management in general practice (both on 15th May) and the Diabetes Record Information Standard (on 16th May).
Our Advisory Board meeting in April featured Rt Hon Patricia Hewitt, Chair of the NHS Norfolk & Waveney ICB and author of The Hewitt Review: an independent review of integrated care systems, who reflected on recommendations within the review. Attendees could hear about our work on patient portals and opportunity to take our clinical safety officer training with Ethos. The PRSB team also presented the manifesto and strategy for 2024/2025 - members are encouraged to feedback on these.
