PRSB's achievements in 2021

We entered 2021 in lockdown at the height of the second wave of the pandemic, with the health and social care sector working tirelessly to keep us safe.

Despite these difficulties, we’ve also had notable successes this year with the mass rollout of the vaccination programme and at PRSB we are immensely proud that our Community Pharmacy Standard supported the covid and flu vaccination programmes, and the childhood and adult immunisation programmes.

Find out more about our key achievements for this year.

The government responds to the Paterson Inquiry's recommendations

Last week, the government responded to the Paterson Inquiry's recommendations, accepting or accepting in principle the majority of recommendations. The PRSB advised the Inquiry at every stage of the process and particularly emphasised the importance of writing directly to patients so that they are fully aware of their treatment and can spot issues before they occur.

You can watch our Chair, Professor Maureen Baker CBE, and Chair of the Academy of Medical Royal Colleges, Professor Helen Stokes-Lampard, explain the importance of writing to patients and read Maureen's blog on the Inquiry below.
